While flying as a young airline pilot, Derek decided to bring his adventurous spirit to the business world. He founded CBT Development Corp, specializing in online business training coursework for construction & contracting professionals in Michigan.  It wasn’t long before he was expanding the product line to Alabama, Florida, and eventually the entire nation.

Fast forward to today, and Derek is simultaneously flying as a contract corporate pilot, as well as holding the prominent position of CEO at Sky Learn.  He manages the company’s strategic business vision, oversees course development, sales, marketing, and even customer service.

As an accomplished expert in e-Learning Course Development, his vision is to convert traditional in-person training into online courses that can be done anytime and anywhere, giving professionals the time they need to focus on achieving their overall business goals.

He loves creating business opportunities for others by analyzing their current ventures, and offering strategic solutions that will impact not only their professional lives, but their personal ones.
